Prof. Krzysztof Bielawski – re-elected vice chairmen of ScanBalt
Prof. Krzysztof Bielawski will be vice-chairman of the ScanBalt association for the next two years.
The newly elected board: Chairman: Jaanus Pikani (Tartu Biotechnology Park/ Estonia) Vice Chairmens: Krzysztof Bielawski (University of Gdansk), Wolfgang Blank (BioTechnikum Greifswald/ Germany), Daan Bultje (HANNN/ Netherlands), Lars Lindsköld (Västra Götaland Region/ Sweden), Tero Piispanen (Turku Science Park, Finland).
The Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG will be hosting members of ScanBalt in Gdańsk during Executive Committee Meeting in May 2016.
ScanBalt is one of the first meta regions in Europe. It brings together scientists from countries and Baltic states, represented by scientists working in life science, health and bioeconomy. ScanBalt comprises 60 universities and over 2 000 firms. This organization focuses its activities on educational issues, research projects, involves R&D units, hospitals, public and private companies and other public institutions in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Polish, Swedish.
University of Gdańsk and Medical University of Gdańsk are among the founding members.
